MiloJulo Community Guidelines
Last updated 27 October 2026. Effective from the date you accept them in the app.
MiloJulo works when people feel safe enough to meet a stranger for coffee. These guidelines are what we expect of everyone here, and what we act on when it goes wrong. They are part of the Terms of Use, and they apply on your profile, in requests and notes, in chat, in Activities and in Circles.
Be a real person
Use your own first name, your own photos and your real age. One account each. No impersonating anyone, no photos of someone else, no accounts run for a business or a group.
Be decent
- No harassment. Not after a declined request, not after a chat goes quiet, not anywhere. "No" is a complete answer and needs no explanation. No bullying, intimidation, or insulting anyone for their gender.
- No threats or violence, and nothing that encourages anyone to harm themselves. If you are struggling, the Safety Centre in the app lists where to get help.
- No hate. Nothing attacking people for their religion, caste, ethnicity, race, nationality, disability, gender or sexuality, and nothing that stirs up hatred or violence between groups.
Sexual content
- Nudity and sexual images are never allowed in profiles, prompt answers, Activities or Circles.
- In chat they belong only in a Casual connection: one that exists only between two people who both chose Casual, and only once both of you have allowed media in that chat (Media Consent). Either of you can withdraw that at any time, and then such images and video stop showing.
- Never share an intimate image of anyone without their consent, including edited, morphed or AI-made ones. Never send sexual content to someone who has not asked for it.
- Nothing involving minors, in any form, ever. We remove it, ban the account and report it to the authorities.
Be honest
No scams, no fake profiles, no investment or crypto pitches, no asking Members for money, no selling or advertising, no recruiting into schemes, no gambling, no spam, no harmful links or files. Do not post things you know are false to mislead people.
Respect privacy and other people's rights
What someone tells you in a chat stays there. Do not share anyone's photos, messages, contact details or where they live. Do not post anything you do not have the right to, such as someone else's photos or copyrighted work.
On Android the app blocks screenshots and screen recording in chat. On iPhone it cannot, and we would rather tell you that than let you believe otherwise. Assume anything you send can be kept.
Stay within the law
Nothing illegal, nothing that threatens India's unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty, its relations with other countries or public order, and nothing that incites an offence or obstructs an investigation.
Meeting in person
Meet somewhere public the first time. Tell a friend your plan. Arrange your own way there and back. Leave the moment something feels off. If you are in danger, call the local emergency number (112 in India) first, then report the person in the app.
What we do about it
Reporting. Every profile, photo, message and Activity has a Report button. Choose a reason (fake or spam, harassment, inappropriate content, underage, felt unsafe, other) and add details if you like. A copy of what you reported is kept for the moderator. Reports are read by a person, and we aim to act within 24 hours. We never tell someone who reported them.
Blocking. Blocking hides you and the other person from each other everywhere: Discover, chats, Activities and Circles. It ends your connection with them. They are not told. You can unblock in Settings → Blocked people.
Automatic hiding. A profile, photo or Activity reported by three different Members within seven days is hidden until a moderator has looked at it. Messages are never hidden automatically; a person decides.
Word filter. Some words are refused outright in names, prompt answers and Activities. In chat the message is delivered and flagged to moderators.
What a moderator can do. Take content down, restore it if the report was wrong, or ban the account. Every one of those actions is written to a log that cannot be edited afterwards. A ban is permanent: we have no way to reverse one today.
Legal orders. We remove content when a court order or a lawful government request requires it.
If you think we got it wrong
Write to [email protected], or to our Grievance Officer at [email protected] (details and timelines in the Terms of Use, section 13). A person reads every message. We cannot promise to reverse a ban, but we will look at what happened and answer you.
